08/06/2020
The President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, believes that Europe's aid may make the crisis not as brutal as predicted.
The Government predicts that unemployment may reach 9.6% this year, while GDP this year sees the biggest contraction in the last decades, 6.9% is expected to recover next year for a growth of 4 percent. Exports are down 15%.
Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa says that the crisis can be less brutal through the help of the European Union.
